TC CHEER WINS HLC TITLE. Triton Central left no doubt about who sits atop the Hoosier Legends Conference in competitive cheer. The Tigers delivered a high-energy, sharply executed routine Saturday morning at Monrovia High School to win the Hoosier Legends Conference Cheerleading Championship, posting a meet-best score of 169.1 out of 180. The victory capped a strong postseason stretch for a Tigers squad that has steadily built momentum in recent weeks. Monrovia finished close behind with 168 points, followed by Tri-West (156.1), Beech Grove (143.5), and Speedway (142) in a deep and competitive field. The championship adds to what has already been a standout season for Triton Central, following a top-five finish at the IASP State Finals in the Time Out Routine and a runner-up finish HCCA Spirit State Championship in the 2A Game Day Routine. Saturday’s performance further solidified the Tigers as one of the premier cheer programs in the area.
