TC BOYS JV BASKETBALL BEATS MORRISTOWN IN SEASON OPENER. The Triton Central boys junior varsity squad started its season on a strong note Monday night, defeating Morristown 44–34 on the road. The Tigers wasted little time grabbing control, jumping out to a 10–4 lead after the first quarter. Their momentum continued into halftime as TC stretched the margin to 27–14. Morristown attempted to chip away in the third quarter, but Triton Central maintained its composure and carried a 34–24 advantage into the final frame. The Tigers kept the Yellow Jackets at arm’s length the rest of the way, securing the double-digit victory in their season opener. Landon Bailey and Dominic Moore shared team-high honors with 11 points each. Owen Hornberger added 9 points, Dylan Showalter scored 8, and Conner Eubanks finished with 5 to round out a productive night for the Tiger offense. With the win, Triton Central begins the year 1–0. Up next, the Tigers return home Saturday for a matchup with Shelbyville. Tip-off is scheduled for 6 PM.
