TC GIRLS BASKETBALL BEATS MORRISTOWN. The Triton Central Tigers varsity girls basketball team delivered a dominant road performance Wednesday night, overwhelming the Morristown Yellow Jackets 61-19 on the road. Triton Central seized full control from the opening tip, erupting for 30 points in the first quarter while limiting Morristown to eight. The Tigers extended the barrage into the second period, carrying a 43-17 advantage into halftime before tightening the defensive screws in the second half. TC stretched its lead to 55-19 through three quarters, and a scoreless final frame by Morristown cemented the 42-point victory. Senior Maryrose Felling paced the balanced offense with 18 points, while Cheyenne Allen added 13. Quinn King added 11 points, and Kate Collier contributed seven. Madison Swisher finished with four points off the bench. Five additional Tigers tallied in the win, including Layla Compton, Rylee Pruitt, Peyton Fillippinie and Anna Kemper with two points each. The Tigers’ defensive effort stood out just as brightly, forcing consistent turnovers, controlling the boards, and igniting transition offense with constant pressure on the perimeter. The Tigers are now 3-2 on the year. Up Next: Triton Central returns to action Tuesday on the road at the Rushville, where junior varsity will tip at 6 PM, followed by varsity at 7:30 PM.
