TC BOYS BASKETBALL BEATS MORRISTOWN IN SEASON OPENER. The Triton Central Tigers opened the season in commanding fashion Wednesday night, cruising past Morristown 70-33 on the road. Triton Central controlled the tempo early, building a 17-8 lead by the end of the first quarter. The Tigers extended the advantage in the second period, taking a 37-18 margin into halftime before continuing to dictate play through three quarters at 47-27. The offensive explosion came in the final frame, where TC erupted for 23 points to put the game well out of reach and secure the 37-point season-opening win. Senior guard Eli Sego fueled the scoring surge with a game-high 31 points. Jackson Faust added 10, while Brayden Hoover contributed seven. Grant Long finished with six, and Brody Hartman and Chase Calderone each chipped in five. Henry Kemper added four points, while Conner McClure logged two. With the victory, Triton Central starts the season 1-0. Up Next: The Tigers return to the court Saturday at home against Shelbyville. Junior varsity will tip at 6 PM, followed by the varsity at 7:30 PM.
