TC BOYS BASKETBALL BEATS WALDRON, ADVANCES TO COUNTY FINAL. Triton Central’s varsity boys basketball team opened the 101st Shelby County Tournament play with an impressive 59–41 victory over host Waldron on Friday night in first-round action. Eli Sego paced Triton Central with a team-high 19 points, while Brody Hartman added 14. Grant Long chipped in eight points and Henry Kemper finished with six as the Tigers steadily built their lead. Jackson Faust scored two points, Conner McClure added four, and Brayden Hoover finished with three to round out the scoring. With the win, Triton Central improves to 8–2 on the season and advances to the Shelby County Tournament championship game. The Tigers will face Morristown on Saturday night at Waldron High School with the county title on the line. Tip-off is set for 8 PM.
