TC GIRLS BASKETBALL WINS 39TH COUNTY TITLE, KING NAMED MVP. Triton Central’s varsity girls basketball team capped off a dominant tournament run Saturday night by defeating Morristown 66–19 to claim the championship of the 50th Shelby County Tournament at Waldron High School. The Tigers controlled the game from the opening tip, using relentless defense and balanced scoring to pull away early and never look back. Maryrose Felling led all scorers with 24 points, while Quinn King added 12. Layla Compton, Kate Collier, and Cheyenne Allen each chipped in six points as Triton Central showcased its depth throughout the lineup. Lexi Eubanks scored four points, Anna Kemper added three, and Rylee Pruitt, Kenzie Hoover, and Maddie Burnett rounded out the scoring with two, two, and one point respectively. With the victory, Triton Central captured its county-leading 39th Shelby County championship, continuing a proud tradition of success. Junior Quinn King was named tournament MVP after her standout performance throughout the tournament. The Tigers improve to 12–3 on the season and will be back in action Tuesday night with a road game at New Palestine. The junior varsity game is scheduled for 6 PM, followed by the varsity contest at 7:30 PM.
