TC BOYS GOLF DROPS SEASON OPENER TO GREENWOOD. Triton Central opened its 2026 boys golf season Thursday evening at Valle Vista, falling to Greenwood in the season opener. The Tigers posted a team score of 193, while Greenwood claimed the top spot with a 176. Leading the way for Triton Central was Hayden Beaver, who turned in a round of 45 to earn a third-place individual finish. Close behind was Colton Ayres with a 46. Max Crouse added a 48, giving Triton Central three golfers in the top six of the final standings. Corbin Beaver carded a 54, while Keegan Canter (57) and Luke Dunn (59) rounded out the varsity lineup. Greenwood was led by co-medalists Braden Chase and Kalen Rowland, who each shot a 40 to pace the Woodmen to the team victory. Triton Central will return to action Tuesday night on the road against Mt. Vernon (Fortville) at Ironwood Golf Course. Tee time is set for 4:30 PM.
