TC GIRLS TENNIS BEATS MORRISTOWN, STAY UNBEATEN. Triton Central’s girls tennis team delivered its most dominant performance of the season Thursday night, sweeping Morristown 5-0 in commanding fashion at home to remain unbeaten at 5-0. At No. 1 singles, Maryrose Felling set the tone with a flawless 6-0, 6-0 victory over Remi Frey. Anniston Evans followed suit at No. 2 singles, overwhelming her opponent 6-0, 6-1, while Zhibek Zhumaly was equally dominant at No. 3 with another shutout win, 6-0, 6-0. Triton Central’s doubles teams continued the rout. The No. 1 pairing of Kate Collier and Neve Kahler cruised to a 6-0, 6-1 win, while Cadence Roberts and Estelle Gearlds closed out the sweep at No. 2 doubles with a 6-1, 6-0 victory. The junior varsity squad also saw success in limited action, earning a 2-0 win. Ellie Gast and Morgan Fisher each recorded 6-0 victories in singles play. The Tigers will look to carry that momentum into the weekend as they compete in the Shelbyville Invitational on Saturday morning, with matches beginning at 9 AM.
