TC SOFTBALL OPENS SECTIONAL PLAY WITH DOMINANT WIN OVER IRVINGTON. Triton Central softball made a strong postseason statement Tuesday night, rolling to a 22-1 victory over Irvington Preparatory Academy softball in the opening round of IHSAA Sectional #43 play at Heritage Christian Eagles softball. With the sectional-opening victory, Triton Central improves to 14-7 on the season and advances to the semifinal round of the tournament. The Tigers will return to action Thursday afternoon when they face Scecina Memorial Crusaders softball in the sectional semifinals. First pitch is scheduled for 3:00 PM as Triton Central looks to continue its postseason run.
