TC VOLLEYBALL SWEEPS NORTH DECATUR. The Triton Central volleyball teams continued their strong start to the 2026 season Wednesday night, as both the varsity and JV Tigers earned convincing victories on the road at North Decatur. The varsity Tigers cruised to a 3-0 sweep, winning the opening set 25-15 before taking the second set 25-16. TC finished off the match with another strong performance, winning the third set 25-13. Lucy May led the Tigers offensively with 13 kills, while Addyson Gibbs added nine kills and a dominant nine blocks. Kate Collier contributed six kills, and Anna Kemper directed the offense with 23 assists. Alaina Darlage anchored the defensive effort with 10 digs. May, Collier and Savanna Plew each added an ace from the service line. The victory moves the varsity Tigers to 6-3 on the season. The TC JV squad also continued its winning ways, sweeping North Decatur 2-0. The Tigers won the first set 25-13 and followed with a 25-15 victory in the second set. Ryn West and Adyson Wright led the JV offense with three kills apiece. Ella Weaver recorded seven assists, while Addisyn Kramer added five assists. Zoey Jenkins had a strong night serving with five aces, and Ella Tupper contributed four digs. The JV victory improves Triton Central to 4-1 on the season. After picking up road sweeps at both levels, the Tigers will have several days to prepare for their next matchup. Triton Central returns to action next Tuesday night at Monrovia for another Hoosier Legends Conference matchup. The JV match is scheduled to begin at 5:30 PM, with the varsity match to follow. The Tigers will look to continue their strong start to HLC play when they take on Monrovia.
