TC GIRLS SOCCER ADVANCE TO SECTIONAL FINAL. The Triton Central girls soccer team punched its ticket to the IHSAA Sectional #42 championship Wednesday night, earning a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Indianapolis Lutheran at home in the semifinal round. Junior Rylee Pruitt scored the lone goal of the night for the Tigers, providing the offense needed to secure the postseason victory. On the defensive end, goalkeeper Mallory Diehl came up big, recording a shutout to help Triton Central keep Lutheran off the scoreboard. The Tigers' combination of timely offense and strong defensive play proved to be the difference as TC advanced to the sectional championship. With the win, Triton Central improves to 9-8 on the season and moves one step closer to a sectional title. The Tigers will now turn their attention to Saturday's championship matchup, as Triton Central hosts Greenwood Christian in the IHSAA Sectional #42 championship. Kickoff is scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday.
