TC VOLLEYBALL BEATS CHRISTEL HOUSE, FALLS TO SCECINA IN SECTIONAL FINAL. The Triton Central girls volleyball team competed Saturday at IHSAA Sectional #43 at Scecina Memorial High School, earning a semifinal victory over Christel House before falling to the host Crusaders in the sectional championship. The Tigers opened Saturday morning with a dominant 3-0 sweep of Christel House to advance to the championship match. TC controlled the contest from the opening serve, winning the first set 25-9 before taking the second set 25-10. The Tigers then delivered a commanding performance in the third set, cruising to a 25-3 victory to complete the sweep. The win sent Triton Central into Saturday night's sectional championship against Scecina, with a sectional title on the line. In the championship match, the Tigers battled the host Crusaders in a competitive four-set contest. Scecina took the opening set 25-19 and edged TC 27-25 in the second set to build a 2-0 lead. Triton Central responded in the third set, earning a 25-19 victory to extend the match and keep its championship hopes alive. However, Scecina closed out the contest with a 25-21 win in the fourth set to claim the sectional championship. Despite the championship loss, the Tigers' postseason performance capped a strong season for the program. Triton Central finishes the year with an 18-11 overall record after advancing to the Sectional #43 championship game.
