TC BOYS TENNIS SWEEPS GREENWOOD. The Triton Central boys tennis team kept rolling Wednesday night, cruising to a 5-0 varsity sweep over Greenwood. The Tigers controlled every court, earning their 11th win of the season and improving to 11-5 overall. At the top of the lineup, #1 singles standout Janssen Capps battled through a competitive first set before locking in for a dominant finish, defeating Greenwood’s Brayden Parrott 6-3, 6-0. #2 singles player Brayden Hoover kept his strong season going with a 6-1, 6-3 victory over Vaughn Shippnick, while #3 singles competitor Bradyn Robinson outlasted Coen Whitson in a tight opening set before pulling away, 7-5, 6-2. The Tigers’ doubles teams were just as sharp. #1 doubles duo Max Crouse and Caleb McGuire blanked Greenwood in the opening set and finished strong for a 6-0, 6-3 win over Aiden Walton and Beau Syers. At #2 doubles, Drayton Kermode and Graham Gast delivered a steady performance, defeating Thomas Satterfield and Leo Harbison 6-2, 6-2. The junior varsity squad also turned in a strong showing, topping Greenwood 5-1. Talan Canter and Cash Eck set the tone with singles victories, while the doubles pairings of Colton Ayres/Owen Rice, Rylan Anderson/Brylon Scott, and Jason Gregory/Hyatt Watson all collected convincing wins. Greenwood picked up its lone JV win at #4 doubles. Triton Central returns to action Thursday with a road test at New Palestine. First serve is scheduled for 4:30 PM.
