TC VOLLEYBALL SWEEPS SPEEDWAY IN HLC MATCHUP. The Triton Central volleyball team left little doubt Tuesday night, sweeping Speedway 3-0 in dominant fashion in a Hoosier Legends Conference matchup. The Tigers controlled the pace from start to finish, winning by set scores of 25-13, 25-12, and 25-17. Triton Central’s attack was led by Gwyn Williams, who tallied nine kills to power the offense. Audrey Darlage efficiently ran the floor with 14 assists, while Alaina Darlage anchored the defense with a team-high 12 digs. From the service line, Savannah Plew delivered three aces, and the Tigers were nearly flawless, recording zero serving errors for the entire match. At the net, Addy Gibbs added a solo block to complete a balanced team effort. The win pushes TC’s varsity record to 11-5 overall and 2-1 in the Hoosier Legends Conference. In the JV match, the Tigers were just as impressive, sweeping Speedway 2-0 with set scores of 25-10 and 25-6. Maecy Cord powered the attack with eight kills, Anna Kemper dished out 16 assists, Keely O’Gara led the defense with eight digs, and Ella Weaver shined from the service line with four aces. The JV squad improves to 8-3 on the season. Triton Central will look to keep its momentum going when it returns home Monday to face Shelbyville. JV will start at 5:30 PM, followed by varsity at 6:30 PM.
