TC GIRLS GOLF COMPETE IN SECTIONAL PLAY, HALL MOVES ON TO REGIONAL. The Triton Central girls golf team closed out its season at the IHSAA Sectional #19 on Tuesday at The Links Golf Club, finishing seventh overall with a team score of 458. While the Tigers came up short of advancing as a group, senior Kennedy Hall extended her high school career with a strong individual performance. Hall carded a 99, placing her among the top individuals not on an advancing team. With that score, she secured one of the coveted individual qualifying spots for the IHSAA Regional. She will compete this Saturday at Edgewood Golf Course, with play beginning at 9 AM. Triton Central’s lineup included Lyndsay Huxford (122), Jaylee Davis (114), Emersynn Ailes (123), and Hanna Fink (131). Together, the squad battled through a competitive field that featured sectional champion New Palestine (334), runner-up Mt. Vernon (355), and third-place Greenfield-Central (411) — all of which advance to the regional as teams. The top overall individual was Mt. Vernon’s Ressie Lemmon, with a 3-under-par 69. For Hall, Saturday’s regional appearance represents both a chance to extend her senior season and an opportunity to compete against some of the state’s best golfers.
