TC VOLLEYBALL BEATS MONROVIA. The Triton Central varsity volleyball team battled back from an early deficit Monday night to earn a 3-1 victory over Monrovia in a strong home performance. After dropping the opening set 21-25, the Tigers found their rhythm and responded with three straight wins — 25-17, 25-14, and 25-21 — to secure the match. Leading the way for Triton Central was Lucy May, who powered the offense with 14 kills. Audrey Darlage turned in an outstanding all-around effort, recording 14 digs and 23 assists to guide the Tigers’ attack, while Addy Gibbs made her presence felt at the net with 4 solo blocks. The victory improves Triton Central’s varsity record to 14-7. In junior varsity action, the Tigers were equally impressive, sweeping Monrovia 2-0 by scores of 25-16 and 25-14. Anna Kemper led the way with 16 assists, Madison Swisher added 9 kills, and Keely O’Gara anchored the defense with 6 digs. Ryn West also contributed a solo block at the net. The JV Tigers now sit at 12-7 overall. Triton Central is back on the court tonight, traveling to Rushville. The JV match begins at 6 PM, followed by the varsity at 7:30 PM.
