TC VOLLEYBALL BEATS GREENFIELD-CENTRAL. Triton Central’s volleyball program closed out its regular season in strong fashion Thursday night, defeating visiting Greenfield-Central 3–1 in varsity play and sweeping the JV match 2–0. After dropping the opening set 22–25, the Tigers roared back with three straight wins — 25–16, 25–17, and 25–23 — to secure the comeback victory and improve their varsity record to 18–8 on the season. Setter Maryrose Felling led the offensive charge with 26 assists, helping fuel a balanced attack that featured Addy Gibbs, who tallied 14 kills and a solo block. Defensively, Gwyn Williams anchored the back row with 18 digs, keeping rallies alive during key moments of the match. In the JV contest, Triton Central battled through two close sets to earn a 2–0 sweep (26–24, 25–23) and finish their season at 17–7. Anna Kemper dished out 11 assists and recorded 4 aces, sharing the service lead with Keely O’Gara, who also tallied 4 aces. Maecy Cord powered the offense with 5 kills, while Adyson Wright contributed 10 digs and Kenzie Hoover added 2 solo blocks. Up next, the Tigers turn their attention to the Shelby County Tournament on Saturday morning at Southwestern. Action begins at 9 AM with Morristown vs. Southwestern, followed by Triton Central vs. Waldron, with the championship match to follow.
