TC GIRLS SOCCER FALLS IN SHOOTOUT IN SECTIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP. The Triton Central girls soccer team saw its postseason run come to a tough end Saturday night, falling to Monrovia 1-1 (2-1 in penalties) in the IHSAA Sectional #43 championship. The Tigers struck first when Rylee Pruitt found the back of the net, giving Triton Central an early lead. Monrovia later equalized, and the match remained tied through the end of regulation and overtime, forcing a decisive penalty shootout. Maddie Burnett converted her kick in the shootout, but the Bulldogs ultimately prevailed 2-1 to capture the sectional title. Triton Central wrapped up an impressive season with an 11-5-2 record.
